Other childcare services

"Yokohama Nursery Room" is not a nursery school stipulated in the Child Welfare Law (so-called licensed nursery school) stipulated in the Child Welfare Law, but meets the standards (childcare fees, childcare environment, childcare hours, etc.) established by Yokohama City. It is a non-licensed childcare facility that is certified and subsidized. Childcare is provided on behalf of parents who cannot take care of the day due to employment or illness.

Kindergarten is a school based on the School Education Law (but not a duty system) and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. For the purpose of raising infants, providing an appropriate environment and promoting their mental and physical development (Article 77 of the School Education Law), 4 hours a day for infants from the age of 3 to before entering elementary school. We provide education at least 39 weeks of each school year.

The standard educational time in a kindergarten is 4 hours, but the system that extends childcare even after the end of normal educational hours is called "custody childcare". Each kindergarten carries out its own custody childcare, and among them, there is a kindergarten certified kindergarten certified by Yokohama City. "Yokohama-type custody childcare" is characterized by opening hours from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm (Saturday until 3:30 pm on Saturday) and during long holidays such as summer vacation.
