[Important Notice] Decommissioning of certificate stamp
Sales of Yokohama Revenue certificate stamp, which had previously been requested to pay for fees for issuing certificates such as family register and resident certificate, ended on January 28, 2020.
The specific payment method to replace income certificate stamp differs depending on the type of fee, so please contact the application window for details.
About refund of Yokohama-shi income certificate stamp
Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp can be refunded until January 31, 2026.
In addition, only those that can be exchanged in Yokohama is limited to "Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp".
Please make sure that "Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp" is printed on your income certificate stamp.

If you would like a refund, please come to the City Hall Office of Accounting or the Ward's Treasurer's Office of each ward office.
※Refunds may be refused for severely soiled items, so please contact us in advance.
- Unused Yokohama City certificate stamp
- Receipts issued at the time of purchase (if any)
- Bank account of the applicant for refund (in the case of corporate application, an account in the name of the corporation is required.)
※Please note that refunds will be made by bank transfer or cash. Please note that in the case of oral transfer payment, it will take about 3 weeks to transfer.
※Those who do not have a receipt, those who have a large refund amount, or those who bring a large amount of Yokohama City incoming certificate stamp may be transferred.
Procedure for refund of certificate stamp by mail
If you have difficulty coming to the City Hall Office of Accounting or Ward's Treasurer's Office of each ward office, we will accept applications by mail if you understand the following:
Please fill in required items on the “Receipt for certificate stamp Exchange” and “certificate stamp Receipt issued at the time of purchase (if any)”, and send it to Yokohama City by January 31, 2026, 2026. (It must arrive by the deadline. The postmark is not valid on the day.

- Please confirm again that you are certificate stamp. (We cannot accept Kanagawa Prefecture or other self-government certificate stamp.)
- Refunds may be refused for items that are severely damaged.
- Refunds will be transferred to the applicant's mouth regardless of the amount of money.
- Applications (attached with certificate stamp in Yokohama City) will be accepted by receiving the mail.
Although it is not usually possible, please note that if there is a non-delivery or incorrect entry of mail, please note that the city cannot be held responsible. - After receiving the application form, it usually takes 2 to 3 weeks for the transfer.
- Shipping costs will be borne by the applicant.
