About certificate stamp income

[Important Notice] About the abolition of certificate stamp Inc. in Yokohama
Sales of Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp, which had previously been asked to pay commissions for the issuance of certificates such as family register and resident certificate in Yokohama, ended on January 28, 2020.
The specific payment method to replace the income certificate stamp depends on the type of transaction fee, so please contact each application window for details.
About refund of Yokohama-shi income certificate stamp
Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp can be refunded until January 31, 2026.
In addition, only the Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp can be exchanged in Yokohama City.
Please check if your income certificate stamp is printed with "Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp".

If you would like to receive a refund, please come to the City Hall Office of Accounting or the Ward's Treasurer's Office of each ward office with the following:
※Refunds may be refused for heavily soiled items, so please contact us in advance.

- Receipt issued at the time of purchase (if any)
- Applicant's bank account for refund (in the case of corporate application, an account in the name of the corporation is required.)
※Please note that refunds will be paid by the account transfer or cash. Please note that in the case of account transfer payment, it will take about 3 weeks to transfer.
※If you do not have a receipt, have a large refund amount, or have brought in a large amount of Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp, you may be required to pay for the account transfer.
Refund Procedures for Incoming certificate stamp
If you have difficulty coming to Office of Accounting City Hall or Ward's Treasurer's Office of each ward office, you will be able to apply by mail if you understand the following:
Please fill in the required items in the “Receipt for Receipt for certificate stamp Receipt” and send it to Yokohama by January 31, 2026, along with the “Implementation certificate stamp in Yokohama” and “Receipt issued at the time of purchase (if any)”. (Must arrive within the deadline.) It is not valid for postmarking on the day.

- Please confirm that you are in Yokohama certificate stamp. (Kanagawa Prefecture and other self-controlled certificate stamp cannot be accepted.)
- Refunds may be refused for items that are heavily soiled.
- Refunds will be transferred to the applicant's account regardless of the amount of money.
- The application form (with Yokohama City Revenue certificate stamp attached) will be accepted by receiving the mail.
Although it is not normal, please note that if there is a non-delivery or an error in mailing, the city cannot be held responsible. - After receiving the application form, it usually takes 2-3 weeks to transfer.
- The shipping fee will be borne by the applicant.
