List of unused land

Unused land is land that is not used for business, such as unuse or provisional use, due to factors such as review of business and abolition of use, undecided business start time, etc. in land owned by Motoichi. It is not necessarily a list of land that can be loaned or sold.

What kind of land is "unused land"?

In land which Motoichi holds, it is land which we do not offer for business such as unuse or provisional use by review of business and abolition of use, undecided of business start time.

  • Land where public facilities were located has become vacant due to abolition or relocation of facilities
  • Land that has been acquired for roads, schools, redevelopment projects, etc., and the project time has not been determined
  • Alternative land for public works

There are about 100 hectares, etc.
Some of these lands are being provisionally used as town rappa or sports squares, and some are unused that are not used at all.

When is the published list available? Information as of March 31, 2023. As a result, it may be different from the latest situation.
3 Will the list be updated periodically? The list of unused land will be updated periodically, such as adding or deletion of projects.
4 What exactly is "optimization of land such as unused use"? We believe that optimizing the role and positioning according to the characteristics of each asset, and then using it so that the value can be maximized with the understanding of the citizens.
As direction of utilization, there are use as public facilities, fixed-term leasehold for business use while Motoichi retained, sale, co-creation, collaboration type utilization.
5 Is it possible to purchase or rent?

The list of unused land is not necessarily a list of land that can be loaned or sold. Therefore, please be aware that we may not be able to meet your request. If you would like to make a loan, please inform us of the target location, period, use, etc. by e-mail (za-tekiseika@city.yokohama.jp). After confirming internally, we will reply from the competent department or our department.
As a general rule, sales will be made public offering. Please check the sales information etc. on the Yokohama City website at any time.

6 We want to inquire about municipal land listed in list, where should I contact? 7 How will Yokohama City work on municipal land listed in the list in the future? Regarding unused land, based on the "Financial Vision" and "Yokohama City Asset Utilization Basic Policy", the Asset Management Bureau (or Business Administration Bureau) sets goals for optimization for each land and creates a promotion plan. We will do it by the end of 2024, and work on optimization systematically.
