Population of Foreigners
The foreign population by nationality based on the Alien Registration Act (non-Japanese registration Ordinance in 1947) to 2001.
From 1947 to 1990, the back number of the "Yokohama City Statistical Report" were converted, and since 1993, the monthly computer output report has been converted to PDF.

Population of Foreigners before the war
This is the population of foreign residents as of the end of December of each year from Meiji 34 (1901) to 1938.
Based on the back number of the "Yokohama City Statistical Report", the name of the country / region has been converted from kanji notation to the current katakana notation.

(Reference) Population of Foreigners according to the census
This is the foreign population based on the census, which is the population as of October 1, each year, approximately every five years since 1920. The numbers are different from the non-Japanese registration population because they are surveyed where they usually live, regardless of whether they are registered.
