Policy on International Policies

Yokohama International Strategy (revised in February 2021)

 The Yokohama International Strategy aims to lead to the growth of Yokohama by organizing the basic concept of the city's international business and developing it strategically, leading to the growth of Yokohama. Formulated in 2015 (2015).
 Five years have passed since the formulation, and various changes have occurred around the world, including climate change and infectious diseases, and the growing momentum toward achieving the SDGs, and the creation of a new status of residence in order to increase the acceptance of foreign human resources. In addition, in Motoichi, "the regulations about promotion of Yokohama-shi international peace" was enacted in 2018.
 Based on these facts, the Yokohama City International Strategy has been revised in order to develop the city's international business more strategically, aim to realize a city chosen by people and companies around the world, and to contribute to the peace and prosperity of the international community. Was revised.

Pillars of priority initiatives

(1) Promotion of intercity collaboration with a view to the future, such as fostering the next generation and creating business opportunities for companies (new citizens and business exchanges with overseas in the digital age).
(2) Hold international conferences, large-scale sporting events, and creating opportunities for international exchange through cultural arts and arts
(3) Promotion of Multicultural Coexistence
(4) Attracting foreign companies from overseas, attracting inbound customers, and improving the environment for accepting foreign human resources
(5) Support for overseas business deployment of local companies
(6) International cooperation and cooperation to solve global issues such as climate change, infectious disease countermeasures, and the promotion of women's advancement
(7) Contribute to international peace through international exchange, international cooperation, and multicultural coexistence
