2.Materials for individuals and institutions
- Documents of those who were involved in municipal administration, such as successive mayors, municipal councils and officials in the Showa era.
- Historical materials of the area preserved in the old house
- Materials of companies and organizations related to Yokohama City
- Materials held by overseas institutions, such as materials related to the occupation period after the Pacific War.

Based on approximately 140,000 materials collected during the editing process of "Yokohama City History II" from the reconstruction of the Great Kanto Earthquake (early Showa era) to the high growth period (Showa 50s), collected afterwards It is a combination of the materials collected.

Materials related to air raids and war damage in Yokohama
As a special collection, Yokohama City has about 7,000 materials as a result of a project entrusted to the Yokohama Air Raid Recording Association. It is a document donated by citizens who experienced the time to pass on the memories of the war to the next generation.
The materials include photographs of civil life during the war or occupation, actual materials such as clothes and incendiary bomb cylinders, as well as text materials such as experience records and diaries.

3.Historical official document of Yokohama City
Yokohama City lost most administrative documents during the Great Kanto Earthquake and World War II, but is working to preserve important official documents as existing historical materials.
In addition to historical official documents (approximately 600 points) such as documents related to the opening of the country (1954), the 100th anniversary of the opening of the port (1958), and documents related to requisition, which were not disclosed until now, Yokohama City was involved in photography. Photo materials will also be released.
