We will hold the Doshi Water Source Forest Photo Contest!

The Doshi River flows through Michishi Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, one of the water sources of Yokohama City. The precious water resources that support the life of Yokohama were nurtured by the rich nature of Michishi Village, and were praised by seafarers around the world for "water that does not rot even if it crosses the equator."
In order to protect the waters of the Doshi River, City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau purchased a part of the forest in Michishi Village in 1916 and worked to improve watershed forests and conservation.
We will hold a photo contest so that everyone who uses water can feel the importance of water sources close to each other and spread the appeal of Michi Shimizu and encourage environmental conservation, including the water source forest conservation.
