Excess of water quality standards in tap water (final report)

At 20:30 on January 27, 2022, "chloric acid" exceeding the national standard (0.6 mg/L) was detected in tap water collected at the Takatsuka Reservoir (Izumi Ward) sent from Kosuzume Purifiction Plant. Regarding this, as a result of replacing the water, it was confirmed that it was within the standard value at 1:00 today.
In addition, water quality was monitored at three locations in the target water supply area, but as of 11:15 today, it was confirmed that all of them were within the water quality standard value due to cleaning in the water distribution pipe .
Until now, the concentration was considered to have no effect on health due to drinking, but customers who refrain from drinking just in case can also drink with confidence.
