We will start a demonstration test of a ride service using touch payment such as credit cards at all subway stations.

By the end of 2024, City of Yokohama, Transportation Bureau will begin demonstration tests on touch-settlement cards (credits, debits, prepaids) and ride services using smartphones and other devices.
With this boarding service, there is no need to charge an IC card or purchase a ticket, and customers will have a touch settlement card (credit, debit, prepaid) or a smartphone with the same card set on an automatic ticket gate. By touching the dedicated reader installed, you can pass the ticket gate and board.
