Purpose of Business

In order to promote seismic retrofitting of condominiums and promote the creation of safe and earthquake-resistant towns, Residential Association Condominiums that carry out seismic retrofitting will provide seismic retrofitting design costs, seismic retrofitting costs, and construction supervision costs related to seismic retrofitting work. Aids

Target buildings

Target buildings

The target building shall satisfy all of the following:

A

Condominiums that were started with construction confirmation before the end of May 1981 and are subject to the Category Ownership Law and fall under any of the following. (changed from April 1, 2014)

  • Condominiums where the division owner lives more than half of the number of dwelling units
  • Condominiums with a floor area of 3 or more, excluding the basement, and a total area of 1,000 m2 or more

※ Not applicable if more than half of the total area is used for purposes other than apartment houses such as stores.

ICondominiums that have been determined to require seismic retrofitting as a result of this diagnosis (precision diagnosis) based on the city system.
※ When we carry out earthquake-resistant diagnosis without using this municipal system, or after having received this diagnosis by this municipal system, we carry out some earthquake-resistant repair work without using subsidy system of city If so, please consult the city.

At the time of seismic retrofitting design, evaluate the validity of the seismic retrofitting plan by a seismic assessment organization (* 1) and obtain any of the following 1 to 3 certifications or confirmations as necessary (* 2) (2017 Changed from April 1)

  1. Authorization of seismic retrofitting plans for buildings based on the provisions of Article 17, Paragraph 3 of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act
  2. Building confirmation based on the provisions of Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the Building Standards Act or Article 6-2, Paragraph 1
  3. Authorization of overall plans based on the provisions of Article 86-8, Paragraph 1 of the Building Standards Act

※1 "Earthquake-resistant judgment organizations" are those who participated in the "National Network Committee for Existing Building Seismic Diagnosis and Renovation Promotion" (outside site) (external homepage) and registered based on the "Earthquake-resistant judgment committee setting registration guidelines" Refers to an earthquake-resistant judgment organization or an organization that the mayor recognizes as equivalent.
※2 In the case of seismic retrofitting design using the partial renovation system, make sure that the above certifications from 1 to 3 are not required.
[Note: Condominiums that require seismic diagnosis]
1.Emergency safety confirmation Large-scale buildings
  Condominiums with facilities used by a large number of people as listed in Article 3, Paragraph 1 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act, and large-scale condominiums that meet all of the following requirements.

2.Buildings listed in the safety confirmation plan required
  Condominiums along the road designated by the city as roads that should be secured in the event of an earthquake disaster, listed in Article 7, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act, and refer to those of a certain height or more, all of the following:
  Condominiums that meet the requirements of the above.

※ Before submitting a subsidy grant application, etc., submit the “Confirmation Form for Buildings subject to Seismic Diagnosis under the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act” (Excel: 24KB) and the “Preliminary Consultation Form” (word: 35KB) to the City of Yokohama, Housing and Architecture Bureau Planning Department Building Disaster Prevention Section to confirm that they fall under 1 or 2 above.

DHave not received an order for seismic retrofitting based on the Building Standards Law.

※Requirements about the scale of buildings have disappeared from 2013.
※Please collect quotes from three or more parties.

※The application for 2024 was closed on October 21, 2024.
※Depending on the budget situation, we may not be able to accept applications, so be sure to consult with the Building Disaster Prevention Section in advance before collecting quotes and resolutions at the General Assembly of Residential Association. (However, prior consultation does not guarantee the grant of subsidies. Reception will be conducted in the order in which the required documents set is ready, not in the order of prior consultation. )

Supplementary contents

Of the expenses required for seismic retrofitting work, we will provide assistance to the following amounts for seismic retrofitting design costs, seismic retrofitting construction costs, and construction supervision costs pertaining to seismic retrofitting work.
In addition, construction supervision pertaining to seismic retrofitting design and seismic retrofitting work shall be carried out by architects who fall under Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 1 or Item 2 of the Enforcement Regulations of the Seismic Retrofit Promotion Act. (changed from April 1, 2017)
In addition, please refer to Building Disaster Prevention Section as apartment with part owned by public organizations such as local governments becomes subsidy amount according to expense burden ratio of public organization.
