Since April 1996, Yokohama City has been working to reduce the burden on the environment, such as preventing global warming and preventing air pollution, and contributing to the realization of a safe city. We enforce "promotion guidelines" and promote introduction of regional heating and cooling in the city.

What is District Heating and Cooling?
This system produces cold water, hot water, and steam in a heat supply plant, supplies it to multiple buildings in a certain area using conduits, and air conditioning, and hot water supply.
By combining them in one place without a heat source in each building, energy saving effects by improving operating efficiency can be obtained, and the burden on the environment, such as utilizing unused energy, preventing global warming, and preventing air pollution. Can be reduced, which is effective in creating a comfortable and efficient city.
