Fire boats

Last Updated February 8, 2022

In order to cope with ship fires and spills of hazardous materials at sea, as well as disasters such as coastal complex facilities in contact with waters, we have placed fire boats and fire boats at the Tsurumisuijyou Fire Department.

Fire boat "Yokohama"

"Yokohama" is the largest of the authorities' fire boats, and is safe at night or in bad weather so that you can sail in coastal areas other than Yokohama Port in the event of a wide area support during an emergency disaster. It is a fire boat equipped with an infrared camera so that you can sail safely.
In order to respond to complex fires and large-scale urban fires, it is equipped with a large fire pump and a water cannon that can discharge 50,000 liters per minute.
