This is a training course to learn the know-how of disaster prevention organization management and how to respond in the event of a disaster. We will consider how to promote disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage in the region and how to respond in the event of a disaster. 2023 Step-Up (formerly Applied Edition)

What is the Yokohama Disaster Prevention Training (formerly: Disaster Prevention and reduce disaster damage Promotion Training)

 Since fiscal 2014, Yokohama City has been offering lectures and group work on disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage, which is being promoted by the city, such as Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, etc. The purpose of the “Yokohama Disaster Prevention Training” is to foster leaders in disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage activities at the town’s disaster prevention organization (Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, etc.) and encourage local disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage activities.
 The name has been changed since FY2024.

Basic part

 The purpose of this program is to learn knowledge (self support and community support) that will be helpful in promoting local disaster prevention activities through online training at the Yokohama Disaster Prevention e-park.
※Those who have taken the basic part can issue a “certificate of completion” to prove that they have taken the course. When issuing, please register a new registration in advance and receive the Yokohama Disaster Prevention Training.

Support section

 The purpose of this program is to help people understand local characteristics such as earthquake fires and storms and floods, and to help them think about disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage activities suited to the region.

 The purpose is to step up with training for those who have received the basic and support editions to learn more deeply.

The purpose of this program is to listen to the efforts of the participating organizations and their issues, and to use them in the disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage initiatives of the “town disaster prevention organization” to which they belong.
