What is Yokohama Disaster Prevention Training (formerly: Disaster Prevention and reduce disaster damage Promotion Training)

 Since fiscal 2014, Yokohama City has been conducting lectures and group work related to disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage,Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, etc. The Yokohama Disaster Prevention Training Program is designed to foster leaders in disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage activities in disaster prevention organizations (Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, etc.) and promote local disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage activities.
 The name has been changed since FY2024.

Basic edition

 The purpose of this web training is to help students learn knowledge (self support and community support) that will be helpful in promoting local disaster prevention activities.
※Those who have taken the basic part can issue a "Completion Certificate" to prove that they have taken the course. When issuing, please make a new registration in advance and take the Yokohama Disaster Prevention Training.

Support

 The purpose of this program is to help students understand local characteristics, such as earthquakes, fires, storms and floods, and to provide support for thinking about disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage activities.
Application deadline: From June 1 to October 31, 2024

Step-up edition
(Former: Applied)

 The purpose of this training is to help those who have received the basic and support section learn more deeply, and aims to step up.
 This is a training course to learn the know-how of disaster prevention organization management and how to respond to disasters. Consider how to proceed with disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage in the region and how to respond in the event of a disaster.
※In FY2023, in cooperation with Fuji Television Co., Ltd., we will consider what will happen in the event of a disaster and what is needed, while sharing past disaster examples and videos, etc., and prepare for local disasters Training was held.

The purpose of this program is to listen to the efforts and issues of the participating organizations, and to utilize them in the disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage initiatives of the "Disaster Prevention Organization in Town" to which they belong.
