In formulating
Based on the analysis of the situation of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, the voices of staff involved in supporting the affected areas, and citizen questionnaires, we created a new earthquake disaster prevention strategy (draft).
Voice of Citizens
- We do not stock up on food, water and toilet packs
- I am worried about evacuation of elderly families
- Concerns about toilets in evacuation centers, privacy, hygiene, and bedtime environment.
Voice of staff involved in supporting affected areas
- Road cuts have a significant impact on rescue and transportation of goods
- Support for people living in evacuation at home is also needed.
- Damage situation changes depending on whether or not there is earthquake resistance Etc.
The four pillars of our strategy
- We will strengthen our pre-disaster preparedness for citizens and local communities, including support for stockpiling at home, measures against earthquakes and fire, earthquake-resistant housing, and maintenance of disaster-prevention parks.
- We will improve the environment of evacuation centers and enhance stockpiles so that everyone can live an evacuation life with peace of mind.
- We support the activities of wide-area support units gathered from all over the country and maintain bases for emergency response activities, such as wide-area disaster prevention bases, to quickly send relief supplies to the city.
- We will accelerate the earthquake resistance of water and sewage systems and the development of emergency transportation routes for evacuation, rescue, and transportation of goods in the event of a disaster, and promote the development of disaster-resistant towns.
