In May 2006, the Yokohama City security camera Information Management Review Committee, which consists of outside committee members, including lawyers and academic experts, examined the rules concerning the establishment and operation of security camera in consideration of the protection of personal information.
These guidelines summarize basic matters that business operators and others should consider to ensure that the security camera, which is installed and operated for the purpose of crime prevention in facilities and places used by an unspecified number of people.

To protect privacy while recognizing the usefulness of security camera
（２） Main contents
What is security camera?
A camera that is permanently installed in a specific location and has an image recording device at a facility or place used by an unspecified number of people for the purpose of crime prevention (including cases where crime prevention is the secondary purpose).
(B) Matters to be considered regarding management and operation
Designation of the person in charge of management, display of shooting area, installation, storage and handling of image data, prohibition of unintended use, provision of image data to the outside, handling complaints, formulation of operational standards, etc.
