Requests for evacuation actions in the event of a disaster based on measures against COVID-19 infection
Last Updated March 27, 2024
In evacuation sites and evacuation centers in the event of a typhoon or major earthquake, the three conditions of "closed, dense, and close" are likely to be met, and there is concern about the spread of COVID-19 infection.
If you live in Tsuzuki Ward , you should give top priority to protecting yourself from disasters and ask for your cooperation in efforts to prevent the evacuation sites and evacuation centers from becoming overcrowded.
1 Confirmation of the necessity of evacuation in the event of a disaster
In case of a typhoon or heavy rain
Tsuzuki Ward Disaster Prevention Map, Hazard Map and Wai Wai Disaster Prevention Map
(https://wwwm.city.yokohama.lg.jp/yokohama/Portal (link to external site)) confirm whether your home is in the inundation area or the sediment-related disaster warning area, etc., and evacuate Please check if you need it.
In case of an earthquake
Evacuation shelters are places where people who cannot stay at home due to collapse of houses can live an evacuation period for a certain period of time. If people who are safe at home are evacuated to evacuation shelter, the evacuation centers become overcrowded, so those who are safe at home will continue to live at home.
Please check your preparations for the earthquake and once again confirm the evacuation flow in the event of an earthquake.
2 Evacuation
If you can secure your safety at home in the event of a disaster, try to evacuate at home to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus.
In addition, please prepare stockpiles such as food and toilet packs in preparation for evacuation at home.
If you are unable to ensure safety at home, please consider an evacuation destination in advance.
In that case, consider not only evacuation centers in evacuation sites, which are opened by the Tsuzuki Ward Office, but also evacuation to relatives and friends' homes or private facilities (hotels, etc.).
When evacuating to an evacuation center in evacuation sites, please include masks, disinfectants, thermometers and other infectious diseases in the emergency exhibit (water, food, etc.) you bring.
At the Tsuzuki Ward Office, we will work to secure more space in evacuation sites and to prevent infectious diseases at evacuation centers in evacuation sites. Thank you very much.
