Tsurumi Ward Park Protection Association - Introduction of technical support
Last Updated December 1, 2022
Create a flowerbed frame using a wooden frame (1.5m x 3.2m). Considering the balance of color and arrangement, we plant seedlings and complete them as flower beds. In order to make the flowers bloom one after another and last for a long time, it is necessary to pick the flowers. Daily flower pattern picking is a trick to keep the flower bed clean forever.

There are many trees in the park. Among them, a large amount of fallen leaves come out when it comes to deciduous trees. As an effective use of fallen leaves from the cleaning activities, this is a technical support course to set up a compost storage area (a place to make compost that is used together with soil by regularly mixing collected fallen leaves). Composting is important to mix water with moderate temperature and air, and it is necessary to switch regularly.

Trees in the park have tree names. During the activities of the protection society, you may be asked, "What is the name of the tree in this tree?" In order to respond to such requests, attach a tree name plate with the correct name of the tree. Being interested in the trees in the park will increase your attachment to the park. The tree nameplate writes the tree name on the baked cedar board and attaches it to the tree with a palm rope. The tree nameplate on the cedar board has a durability of about three years, so it is necessary to reconnect it as the tree grows. The tree name plate making course is to provide training on how to make the tree and how to tie it without burden, and when to replace it after installation.

The mowing of the park is based on human weeding using a sickle for mowing. In the case of a park where the mowing area is large and difficult for human power alone, we rent a brush cutter if requested by the Park Protection Association. Lending is a two-blade mower with high safety. When lending, we always take a safety course on weeding machines.
