Yokohama Seya Lions Club donated a calligraphy by Shoko Kanazawa (April 5, 2024).

　On March 19, just three years before the opening of GREEN x EXPO 2027, Yokohama Seya Lions Club donated "calligraphy".

　The donated calligraphy was a celebration seat commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Yokohama Seya Lions Club in May last year, and two works, "Hana" and "Sho", written by calligrapher Shoko Kanazawa. It was decorated on a folding screen. We have decided to donate this time because of our passion to make it even more exciting for the GREEN x EXPO 2027.

　The donation ceremony was attended by members of the Yokohama Seya Lions Club, Shoko Kanazawa and Yasuko, his mother, Yasuko I unveiled the calligraphy and gave me a letter of appreciation with gratitude. In addition, many people from Neighborhood Associations Neighborhood Association, the Children's Committee for Consumer Affairs, and local welfare establishments, came to celebrate the donation together. Thank you very much to everyone who came.

　And in commemoration of this donation and just three years before GREEN x EXPO 2027, we had all participants cut cherry trees on the Navy road. I also made one pot of cuttings with you. The cuttings will be taken home and raised by those who wish. Shoko Kanazawa commented, "I hope the cherry blossoms will bloom beautifully." At the opening of GREEN × EXPO 2027 three years later, I hope that the “Sakura with the Legacy of Cherry Blossom on the Navy Road,” which we have carefully cultivated, are growing in various places. In addition, we keep in ward office and will watch carefully.

　The calligraphy we received are on display in front of General Affairs Division on the third floor of the ward office. One of the themes of GREEN x EXPO 2027, "Flower", and "Sho", which represents Seya Ward leaps by holding, are dynamism at the ward office. We would like to see the inhabitants of a ward and look forward to the GREEN x EXPO 2027, which has been less than three years to be held together.
