Urban Planning Master Plan Seya Ward Plan

The city planning master plan is a basic policy on city planning, and is determined based on Article 18-2 of the City Planning Act.
The Seya Ward Plan for Urban Planning (hereinafter referred to as the Seya Ward Plan) was formulated in December 2005 in collaboration with residents of the city to show the desirable future image of Seya Ward about 20 years from now and to show the basic policy of town development to realize it.

Approximately 10 years have passed since the formulation, and during this time the "Yokohama City Basic Plan (Long-Term Vision)" was formulated in 2006, and related field-specific plans have been formulated and revised accordingly.
The Yokohama City Urban Planning Master Plan (hereinafter referred to as the “Overall Plan”) is a prerequisite for the Seya Ward Plan. "was revised in March 2013 in line with changes in socio-economic conditions, such as the forecast of a full-scale population decline society in the future.

In Seya Ward, the population is declining and aging, and social conditions and urban conditions have also changed significantly, including the return of the former Kami-Seya communication facility from the U.S. military in June 2015 and the decision on urban planning for the south exit of Seya Station.

In light of these circumstances, it was revised in March 2017 based on the Seya Ward Plan formulated in 2005.
