Attended the award ceremony for the SDGs Future Cities and Environmental Picture Diary Exhibition 2023, and awarded commendation certificates to eight winners of the Special Prize, including the The Mayor of Yokohama Prize, and gave a congratulatory greeting.
I was impressed by the works drawn with rich ideas and perspectives unique to elementary school students, and through the picture diary, I was reliable that children thought about environmental issues and led them to actions.
Yokohama City will continue to do its utmost to pass on the irreplaceable environment to the next generation together with citizens, companies and all stakeholders.
