I met students from Schule-Am Reed School in Frankfurt, Germany, who visited on a business trip to Germany in July this year. As part of an exchange project with the sister school Sakuragaoka High School, students staying in Yokohama talked about their impressions of Yokohama for the first time and exchanges with Sakuragaoka High School.
I was glad to hear my thoughts, such as "Everybody is kind everywhere in Yokohama" and "The place where all students at Sakuragaoka High School cooperate with each other is like Japan and wonderful."
Through this exchange program, I hope that the students of both schools will become a link between Germany and Japan in the future and play an active role in the global society.
