To commemorate the war dead and renew their commitment to peace, the 72nd Yokohama War Memorial Ceremony was held.
The remorse of those who fell in the war while thinking about the security of their homeland and their beloved family, would have been quite regrettable. I would like to express my deepest respect to the bereaved families who have been deeply saddened and have overcome many difficulties.
We will do our utmost to realize a peaceful world without forgetting that the safe and prosperous lives we enjoy today have been built at great expense.
