We met with Dan Rat, Deputy Mayor of Paris.
Yokohama and Paris have both played a central role in the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, a group of local governments that are actively working on climate change.
We exchanged opinions widely on the current situation and issues of decarbonization measures in both cities, and discussed future cooperation between the two cities. At the same time, it was confirmed that large cities will take leading initiatives by utilizing the “World Chief of Climate Energy and Energy” and the OECD Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth. We also introduced "GREEN x EXPO 2027" that Motoichi performed and requested cooperation for success.
Going forward, we will continue to share and exchange advanced measures and knowledge to make use of it in Yokohama's climate change countermeasures and lead to initiatives that lead the global decarbonization.
