I met Dan Lat, Deputy Mayor of Climate Change in Paris.
The city of Yokohama and Paris play a central role in the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, a group of local governments actively engaged in climate change.
We exchanged opinions widely on the current situation and issues of decarbonization measures in both cities, and discussed future cooperation between the two cities. At the same time, it was confirmed that large cities will take leading initiatives by utilizing the World Climate and Energy Chiefs Pledge and the OECD Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth (OECD Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth). We also introduced "GREEN x EXPO 2027" conducted by Motoichi, and requested cooperation for success.
Going forward, we will continue to share and exchange advanced measures and knowledge to make use of it in Yokohama's climate change countermeasures and lead to movements leading global decarbonization.
