I visited the OECD Headquarters in Paris.
First, Secretary-General Takeuchi explained the current status of the OECD and confirmed the strengthening of cooperation between Yokohama City and the OECD in climate change countermeasures and activities in Asia.
Lamia Kamal-Chawi, Director of OECD Entrepreneurship, Centre for Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises, Regional and Cities, explained that Yokohama City is working toward the realization of a society where no one is left behind. Mr. Kamal-Chawi, Director of the OECD, expressed his expectations for Yokohama's leadership in Asia for his participation in the OECD-established network of city chiefs, Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth. After that, the participants discussed how to promote cooperation between Yokohama City and the OECD in Asia, focusing on climate change measures.
I was also interviewed by OECD policy analysts to participate in the OECD Champion Meyers for Inclusive Growth. In the future, I would like to deepen our cooperation with 65 champions Meyer around the world.
