I gave a greeting at the 400th anniversary ceremony of the Saiho Exhibition in Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru.
Currently, there are 29 Nippon Maru sails in total, and all sails are expanded in the total sails.
All of the work of expanding the sails is done by hand with the cooperation of the exhibition sail volunteers who have completed the training. Yokohama is proud of the passion of many people, including volunteers, to love the Nippon Maru.
I sincerely hope that the Nippon Maru, an important cultural property of the country, will continue to be loved by many people as a symbol of Yokohama Minato Mirai.
