- At the World Triathlon Paratriathlon Series Yokohama Games, we decided to set up a “Hamatra (*) Ambassador” to widely disseminate information on the Yokohama Triathlon and the appeal of Yokohama in Japan and overseas.
The first Hamatra Ambassador has participated in the three consecutive Olympics in Beijing, London and Rio, and has been appointed by Ai Ueda, a leading female player in the triathlon world in Japan, and the commission ceremony was held today.
Ueda will cooperate with the appeal of the Yokohama City and the Yokohama Games, etc. utilizing SNS accounts, etc., and we plan to have the Yokohama Games together. - ※ What is Hamatra?
Hamatra has known "Yokohama" nationwide as the nickname "Hamatra" of "Yokohama Conventional", which refers to traditional fashion originated in Motomachi, Yokohama, which was popular from the late 1970s to the 1980s. The Hamatra Ambassador expressed the desire to make everyone familiar with it, including the meaning of both "Yokohama Triathlon" and "Yokohama Conventional".
