Born in 1939, Kohoku Ward is the area of today's Kohoku Ward, Midori Ward, Aoba Ward and Tsuzuki Ward , with a population of about 50,000. Currently, Kohoku Ward has a population of about 350,000, the largest number of administrative districts in Japan, and has abundant nature, events, sports facilities and cultural facilities, and has grown into an attractive city for a wide range of agricultural, industrial and commercial economic and local activities.
Let's grow together with the hometown of Kohoku where you want to live forever.

This year, the first year of the new era (Reiwa), Kohoku Ward is celebrating its 80th anniversary.
We want to re-recognize the history, culture, charm of the town, and to make it an opportunity to share the dreams and hopes for creating a better future with the residents of the city.
In April, we published an electronic edition commemorative magazine full of beautiful scenery of Kohoku. In addition, at oldness and Kohoku contact festival on June 1, a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of Kohoku ward system is finally held.
