Designation and certification as historical buildings and cultural properties: Tangible Cultural Properties designated by Yokohama City

The Okurayama Memorial Hall in Yokohama was built in 1932 by Kunihiko Okura, President of Okura Paper Store, as the main building of the Okura Paper Store, was constructed in 1932. The design is designed by architect Uheiji Nagano.
It is a building with a unique style beauty that fuses East-West culture, incorporating Oriental designs into the pre-Helenic (now Creta Mycenae) style before the ancient Greek (now Creta Mycenae) style, which is a rare architectural style in the world.
It was donated to Yokohama City in 1981, and after major renovation, it was opened as the Okurayama Memorial Hall in Yokohama City in 1984, and was designated as a tangible cultural property designated by Yokohama City in 1991.
It can be used for activities in halls and assembly rooms, as well as films and television shooting.
