We have installed a solar power generation system on the roof of the ward office.

A "photovoltaic power generation system" was installed on the roof of the Kohoku Ward General Government Building (March 2010).
The electricity generated by the solar power generation system is used as part of the electricity used in the government building.

Power is generated using a device called "solar cell" that generates electricity when the sun shines.
Since the energy source is the sun, it is not exhausted as a resource, and when generating electricity, it is one of the environmentally friendly power generation equipment because it does not generate greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and noise.
In the future, it is expected to be used as one of the initiatives to prevent global warming.

A solar cell is an energy conversion device that absorbs the light energy of sunlight and turns it into DC electricity.
There is no function to store electricity, and generates electricity in proportion to the solar radiation intensity of sunlight.

• Rated output…30kW (It generates about 10 households of household power consumption.)
• Annual power generation…Approx. 40,000 kWh
• CO2 emission control effect…Approx. 12.5t (approximately 890 cedar trees)

An LCD display is installed in the entrance hall on the first floor to display the status and data of solar power generation.
