About Kanazawa Ward Senkyo mascot "Ikoara"
Kanazawa Ward election mascot "Ikoara"
- The Kanazawa Ward Bright Election Promotion Council solicited illustrations and names of mascots from residents to establish the Kanazawa Ward Election Mascot.
- As a result, there were a total of 92 entries, of which 5 excellent works were selected after strict examination. Then, at each election enlightenment event held in the fall of 2008, a popular vote was held, and "Ikoara" was selected as the best work!
- "Ikoara" is a work by Yumi Kato, who lives in the ward, designed with the image of Kanazawa Ward, which is blessed with nature full of greenery. The top of the head represents the beautiful sea waves of Kanazawa Ward, and the feather-shaped ears represent the image of fluttering toward a bright future.
- "Ikoara" is active in various election enlightenment events. Thank you very much!
