Estimated population
Based on the figures of the census, it is estimated by adjusting the increase or decrease in notifications specified by the the Law of the Basic Resident Registers and the Family Registry Act. As of the first day of every month.

Registered population
The number of registrants listed in the Basic Resident Register. As of March 31 of each year.
