Elderly people with dementia watching cooperation shop

As the population ages year by year, the number of elderly people with dementia continues to increase, and the number of elderly people with dementia in Yokohama is expected to reach 200,000 by 2025, when the baby boomers are over 75 years old. You.
Kanagawa Ward is working to increase the number of shops and offices where people with dementia and their families can shop with peace of mind, aiming for community development, where people with dementia and their families can shop with peace of mind.
What is "Elderly Dementia Elderly Watching Cooperation Shop"?
Kanagawa Ward recognizes shops and offices that have at least one employee who has attended the Dementia Supporter Training Course (certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) to learn correct knowledge and specific responses to dementia, and has issued special stickers.
If you have any requests to hold a course, please contact your local Community Care Plaza / Regional Comprehensive Support Center or the ward office Elderly and Disabled Support Division.

Benefits of Mimamori Cooperation Stores
- If people with dementia or their families are in trouble, warm calls and watching over can lead to improved customer services and image enhancement.
- The name of the store is posted on the Kanagawa Ward Office website and can be promoted as an "elderly friendly shop."
- When familiar people have dementia, they will be able to respond appropriately.
To become a "Mimamori Cooperation Shop"
- We take "dementia supporter training course" (we can register if we take after April, 2015).
- Fill out and submit required items on the “Registration Form (Word: 22KB)”.
- We will issue a "certification certificate" and a "special sticker".
- The name of the store will be posted on the Kanagawa Ward website (only the cooperating stores you wish to use).
About comprehensive certification
With comprehensive authorization, ward performs comprehensive authorization for plural establishments which received authorization of watching cooperation shop within a certain range.
The first certified Rokukakubashi Shopping Street
Rokukakubashi Shopping Street (outside site) has been certified as "Mimamori Shopping Street".
(Because more than 30% of shopping mall member stores have been certified as "Mimamori cooperating stores", they have been certified as "Mimamori shopping streets.")
