Izumi Ward ran a lifetime class to provide residents with a variety of lifelong learning opportunities. One of the results of the activities of the "Ancient Road Research Study Group" is the Izumi Ward Kodo Walking Map. (prepared in 2000)

It is an illustration map that allows you to walk along the historic road that runs through Izumi Ward. The old roads introduced are Kamakura Road, Oyama Road, Tani Yabe Road, Gokaido, Odawara Road, and others. These roads are summarized in a map and historical site commentary on the back.

1. Along the Kamakura Road (south side)……For Shimoiida and Shimoizumi
2. Along the Kamakura Road (north side)……Kamiiida and Hyugayama area
3. Along Kashio Dori Daisen Road……Central Izumi, Okazu and Ryokuen
4. Along the Tozuka and Atsugi Road……Chogo Kaido, Nakatakita and Kazurano
