Izumi Ward ran a lifelong class to provide a variety of lifelong learning opportunities for residents. The Izumi Ward Kodo Walking Map is a result of the activities of the Kodo Study Group, one of the lifelong classes. (prepared in 2000)
Contents
It is an illustration map that allows you to walk along the historic road that runs through Izumi Ward while visiting historical sites. The old roads introduced are Kamakura Road, Oyama Road, Tani Yabe Road, Gokai Road, Odawara Road and others. These paths are summarized in the map and the historical site commentary on the back.
- Along the Kamakura Road (South side)……Shimoiida and Shimoizumi areas
- Along the Kamakura Road (North side)……Kamiida / Hyuga mountain area
- Along Kashio-dori Daisen Road……Central Izumi area toward Okazu and Ryokuen
- Along the Tozuka and Atsugi Road……Chogo Kaido, Nakatakita, Kazurano area
