17.The 20th Izumi-ku, Sendai City Exchange Festival

　Izumi Ward and Yokohama, held the 20th Izumi-ku Exchange Festival, a friendship tournament for softball and volleyball between Sendai and Yokohama. This exchange meeting has been sponsored by the sports associations of both cities and has been held for many years, but this 20 times will be a break. Since it was the last friendly tournament, Mayor Izumi of Sendai City (Mayor Kimura) also rushed in.
　A social gathering was held on the 17th, softball played at Sakaigawa Yusuichi Park on the 18th and volleyball at Izumi Sports Center, ending the long history of exchange games so far.
　As a result of the exchange game, softball was 2 wins in Sendai City, 1 draw in Yokohama City, 1 draw, volleyball 2 wins in Sendai City, 1 draw, but friendship that can not be replaced by winning or losing I think that it remained as a big result.
　I would like to pay tribute to the inhabitants of the city for many years. Sports is a common language, and I felt that friendship has been built through this. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Izumi-ku Sports Association in Yokohama, the Izumi-ku Sports Association in Sendai, and all the people who have made their efforts so far.
