Private use of waterways (general sewers)

Rain that falls on the ground flows into waterways along the slope. Waterways play a role as a receiver for rainwater.
Waterways (so-called ordinary rivers) are stipulated as general sewers (outside site) in the Yokohama City Sewerage Ordinance (outside site).
When occupying a waterway site by setting up bridges and passages for entering and exiting houses, installing gas and water supply pipe, telephone poles, etc., a general sewer occupation permit is required.

In addition, we perform general sewer private use permission within necessary range by nature of waterway.

When you are going to establish article in waterway site newly, please submit general sewer private use permission application (PDF: 130KB) in consideration of standard processing period before private use.
Attached books will be sketches (guide map), floor plans, cross-sections, detailed drawings of the property, public-private boundary map (public map or roadway boundary survey map) and quadrature map (in some cases, consent forms and reason documents) Etc. may be asked).
