2nd regular meeting (September 8)
Lecture "Support for people requiring assistance in the event of a disaster" Yuko Kawabe, Representative Director of the NPO Urban Disaster Prevention Study Group
From his own experiences, he spoke with interesting stories that daily preparations would lead to reduce disaster damage and that fun local activities would lead to the creation of a face-to-face relationship and the creation of a livable town. In addition, based on the situation where it was difficult to carry out various activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he once again told us about the basic concept of local activities and the points of regional disaster prevention.

He introduced the activities of Kizuna, Midorien 5-chome Kizuna, which was established in the Ryokuen area with the aim of supporting people in need of assistance, and specific methods for training in safety confirmation.

Lecture "To promote regional disaster prevention with the participation of multi-generational and diverse citizens" Eiko Ishikawa, Associate Professor, Faculty of International Liberal Arts, Yokohama City University
While touching on the Statement of "community development Building with the Next Generation" in fiscal 2021, they introduced their efforts to solve regional disaster prevention issues. He talked about the necessity of promoting regional disaster prevention with the participation of multi-generational and diverse citizens, giving examples such as expanding the number of participants through online use, planning utilizing the power of children, and training in pre-reconstruction town development.
After that, group work was conducted to share opinions and ideas on "approach to encourage young people to participate."

Submission of written opinion
At the 4th regular meeting, we submitted a written opinion on the issues to be examined and reviewed the activities of the 7th Izumi Ward Regional Council. The Izumi Ward Office also introduced disaster prevention related businesses that can be used for local disaster prevention activities.
