Support for people requiring assistance during a disaster
Last Updated October 28, 2024
What are those who need assistance during a disaster?
Persons requiring assistance during a disaster are those who need assistance in taking a series of actions in the event of a disaster, such as evacuating to a safe place, in order to quickly and accurately grasp the necessary information and protect themselves from disasters. In general, elderly people, disabled people, foreigners, infants, pregnant women, etc. are mentioned. In addition, in the event of a disaster, you may be injured and anyone may become a person requiring assistance during a disaster.
In order for people requiring assistance in the event of a disaster to protect themselves from disasters, sufficient preparations are required by themselves and their families. In addition, the role played by community support is very important in order to promptly provide assistance to people in need of assistance in the event of a disaster, such as safety confirmation and evacuation assistance. In order to demonstrate the power of community support, it is necessary to create a face-to-face relationship with people requiring assistance from normal times and to create a system that supports each other in the community.
