Support for people requiring assistance during a disaster

Persons requiring assistance during a disaster are those who need assistance in taking a series of actions in the event of a disaster, such as evacuating to a safe place, in order to quickly and accurately grasp the necessary information and protect themselves from a disaster. Generally, the elderly, disabled, foreigners, infants, pregnant women, etc. In addition, in the event of a disaster, you may be injured, and everyone may become a person requiring assistance during a disaster.
In order for people requiring assistance in the event of a disaster to protect themselves from a disaster, sufficient preparations are required by themselves and their families. In the event of a disaster, the role of community support is very important in order to promptly provide assistance to safety confirmation and evacuation assistance to those requiring assistance. In order to exert the power of community support, it is necessary to create a face-to-face relationship with people requiring assistance from normal times and to create a supportive system in the community.

In Izumi Ward, three sections work together to promote support projects for people requiring assistance during disasters. For information on providing a list of people requiring assistance during a disaster or consultation on initiatives, please contact the affiliation in charge in the following table.

In addition, ward staff visits Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations and conducts "Disaster Prevention dispatch lecture/off site lecture" where lectures on disaster prevention. If you would like to carry out a lecture on support for people requiring assistance in the event of a disaster in your area, please use it.

In order to promote efforts to support people requiring assistance in the event of a disaster, it is important to first identify the people who need assistance in the community.
There are three ways to identify the people in need of assistance in the area.

○　Hand raising method: Check the request for registration in the list of people requiring assistance in the area, whether or not there is a request for support, etc., and grasp the people who need assistance.
○　Consent method: Consent confirmation from the ward office to the target person regarding the registration in the list provided to the voluntary disaster prevention organization, etc.
