Isogo Ward Barrier-Free Basic Concept

 In the “Law Concerning the Promotion of Smooth Movement of Elderly and Disabled Persons (Barrier-Free Law)”, municipalities are based on the basic policy set by the government, based on the basic policy set by the government. About district where facilities used by such people gather, it is supposed to try to make basic design (barrier-free basic design) about important and integrated promotion of business to affect smooth movement.
 
 In Yokohama-shi, making of basic design was completed in each ward and one district at the end of 2016, and, as the second round, including review (spiral up) of created districts, multiple stations in the ward for each ward We examine around the station and make it as one basic concept.
 
 In March 2014, Isogo Ward created the "Basic Concept for Barrier-Free Area around Sugita Station and Shin-Sugita Station" to promote barrier-free access around stations.
 In addition to reviewing the areas around Sugita Station and Shinsugita Station, the Isogo Ward Barrier-Free Basic Concept was created.

 There are seven railway stations in Isogo Ward. Among them, Isogo Station is the nearest station to the ward office, and there are high local needs such as barrier-free and bustle in front of the station, and folding screenura Station forms an integrated station area with Isogo Station. Negishi Station has the second largest number of passengers after Shinsugida Station in the ward, adjacent to the station area of Isogo Station, and between which administrative facilities and medical facilities are located in between.
 Therefore, the area around Negishi Station and the area around Isogo Station and Fubuura Station have been positioned as new priority maintenance areas, and three priority maintenance areas, including the Sugita Station and Shinsugita Station area, which created a basic barrier-free basic concept in FY2013. We have created aIsogo Ward-Free Basic Concept.
 Regarding the area around Sugita Station and Shin-Sugita Station, we are reviewing the prepared basic concept in order to achieve gradual and continuous development (spiral-up).
 In addition, the area around Yokodai Station, Yokohama City, the Urban Renaissance Agency (UR City Organization), local residents, etc. are currently working together to create a barrier-free perspective as a promotion area for the “Sustainable Residential Area Promotion Project”. Because town development including is being promoted, it is excluded.

Yokohama City Barrier-Free Basic Concept

 In Yokohama City, in order to promote the development of a welfare town where all people respect basic human rights, live with peace of mind, act freely on their own will, and participate in activities in all fields. We establish "town development regulations of" and citizen's all of you, each company, Yokohama-shi work together and push forward various approaches aiming at promotion of welfare town development.
 In addition, based on the "Law Concerning the Promotion of Smooth Movement of Elderly People and Disabled Persons" [commonly known as the Barrier-Free Law] (outside site), facilities that utilize the basic design system and gather facilities that citizens often use In the districts that have been gathered, we are promoting barrier-free towns in a focused and integrated manner.
 Development of each 18 wards each 1 district was completed in 2016. 
 Currently, in order to further make it barrier-free, we are considering multiple stations at the same time, and are working on the development of a basic barrier-free concept for each ward, including a review of the districts that have already been formulated.

What is the Barrier-Free Basic Concept

 Based on Article 25 of the Barrier-Free Law, the Basic Concept for Barrier-Free is based on public transportation in areas centered on passenger facilities and areas where facilities used by the elderly and disabled are gathered (priority maintenance districts * 1). Municipalities create in order to promote barrier-free services such as roads, buildings, off-street parking lots, city parks, traffic lights, etc. We aim to make it barrier-free.
 In the basic concept, priority maintenance districts and living-related facilities ※2. Life-related Routes ※3 and specific businesses ※Defines 4. In addition, after basic design making, each company makes concrete business plan based on basic design, and, in principle, carry out business with a goal of approximately five years after basic design creation.

※1 “Priority maintenance districts”
 It is a district where there are three or more lifestyle-related facilities and a considerable number of elderly people, persons with disabilities, etc. who use the facilities are expected to move between the facilities on foot. Districts that are deemed necessary to promote barrier-free
※2 “Life-related facilities”
  Facilities such as passenger facilities, government facilities, and welfare facilities used by the elderly and disabled in their daily or social life.
※3 “Life-Related Routes”
  Routes connecting lifestyle-related facilities
※4 “Specific Business”
  Realize barrier-free facilities such as lifestyle-related facilities, lifestyle-related routes, etc.
