The Bank of Yokohama, Yokohama National University, and Hodogaya Ward will collaborate to conduct demonstration experiments on the spread of cashless payments using the Bank of Yokohama's smartphone payment service "Hama Pay" and revitalize shopping streets through cashless payments.
Based on the idea of the highest award in a cashless contest using "Hama Pay" conducted by Yokohama National University students, this demonstration experiment will take place at Hongoji Matsubara Shopping Street in Hodogaya Ward Prefecture.
Hodogaya Ward will support this demonstration experiment, exploring the possibility of revitalizing the local economy through cashless shopping streets, and aim to create bustling towns that utilize the knowledge of companies, universities and students.

Utilizing the Bank of Yokohama's smartphone payment service "Hama Pay", we will promote cashless payment at Hongoji Matsubara Shopping Street. In addition, we will utilize the marketing function based on the purchase data of “Hama Pay” to improve the ability to attract customers in the shopping district.
