Hodogaya Ward official mascot character

Hodogaya Ward, Yokohama City and Hodogaya Ward 100th Anniversary Project Executive Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Executive Committee") will establish the official mascot character of the Hodogaya Ward in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the constituency in 2027.

We're looking for the name of the mascot!

We look forward to the name of a mascot that is familiar and loved by everyone for a long time.

Judging will be narrowed down to about 3 to 5 works by strict selection, and the adopted works will be determined by voting by inhabitants of the ward.

The motif of duck, a bird of the ward, was adopted as a motif, and the costumes of Kadokasa and Haori inspired by the history of the post town. The ward's image color "Hondagaya Green" is designed with the ward mark on the chest of Haori, and the sleeves are designed with a pattern inspired by the violet, a flower of the ward.

As a result of soliciting design proposals from June 28 to September 2, 362 entries were received. About five works selected by strict examination, we vote by inhabitants of a ward and adopt work with the most votes as original draft of mascot character. The results will be announced on the website in January 2025.
