It is a private organization that works for clean elections and total participation in voting without fraud, and is set up in prefectures and municipalities nationwide. In Yokohama-shi, bright election promotion meeting is set up in city and 18 wards respectively.
In Asahi Ward bright election promotion meeting, bright election promotion member chosen from area and group in ward calls for participation in voting on the street at the time of election and participation in inhabitant of a ward festival, etc. We are engaged in activities aimed at "active participation in voting".

Awareness-raising activities can be broadly divided into two categories: "election enlightenment" conducted just before the election and "always enlightenment" conducted on a daily basis.
