The Aoba Ward symbol mark was established in commemoration of the birth of the Aoba Ward on November 6, 1994. This symbol mark expresses the gentle atmosphere of nature by superimposing the characters of AOBA on the image of a tree and making "Yokohama on the hill" Shinbo

In November 2004, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Aoba constituency system, we established "tree of ward, flower of ward" based on vote of inhabitants of a ward.
Tree of ward yamazakura
It is a deciduous broad-leaved tree of the family Rosaceae. It is a tree that represents Japan, such as being painted in Yamato-e from ancient times. There are three famous trees, Furuki in Aoba Ward. These are also established in Kanazawa Ward and satoyama trees in Tsuzuki Ward .
Flower pears in the ward
Origin East Asia and Western Europe, flowering time April. It blooms very beautiful white flowers. Fruit pears are one of the largest producers in the city in Aoba Ward and is known by the name "Hamanashi".
