Aoba Ward mascot character Nana-chan was born to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the constituency system.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the constituency system, we have been working with you at local events and other events to promote Aoba Ward.

In April 2009, in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Aoba ward system, three excellent works out of 1,777 works received from children in the ward were selected by the inhabitants of the ward.
The design was drawn by Naoyuki Ueda of Satsukigaoka Elementary School in the image of the Aoba Ward flower "Nashi". The hands and feet represent the beautiful green of Aoba Ward. Among the 407 nicknames submitted to Ueda's work, the nickname was discussed by the Aoba Ward Mascot Committee.

For that reason, "Naka-chan" was selected.

If you wish to borrow, please fill out the application form and submit it to Ward Administration Promotion Division Public Relations Section at least 3 months to 7 days in advance.
However, the ward bureau of Yokohama City does not need to submit a loan application.
In principle, the loan period is up to 4 days.
