In April 2009, in commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the Aoba constituency system, three of the 1,777 works received from children in the ward were selected by the votes of the inhabitants of the ward.
Naoyuki Ueda of Satsukigaoka Elementary School drew the image of the Aoba Ward flower "Nashi". The hands and feet represent the beautiful green of Aoba Ward. In addition, the 407 nicknames sent to Mr. Ueda's work, in consultation with the Aoba Ward Mascot Committee.

However, the ward office of Yokohama does not need to submit a loan application form.
