The Asako Terahara Burial Mound is located on a plateau on the Kawakita side of Tanimoto Ichigao, Aoba Ward. These burial mounds consist of three circular tombs found at the Asako Terahara archeological site centered on the middle Yayoi period moat settlement. Excavations were conducted in 1967, and weapons such as armor with eyebrows with eyebrows, triangle plate tacks with eyebrows, iron swords, iron swords, iron swords, iron arrowheads, etc. Balls such as mortars and magatama were found. From these relics, it is thought that Tomb No. 1 was built in the latter half of the 5th century, the second tomb was built around the 6th century, and the third tomb was built in the first half of the 6th century. The relics excavated from this group of tombs have outstanding content in terms of quality and quantity. Among them, there are few examples of excavations in the Kanto region, and are the only found in Kanagawa Prefecture.
