Park Protection Association

Management of imminent park which is "garden" of local everybody and is property of citizen's common property requires active cooperation of local everybody as well as Yokohama-shi setting up park. For this reason, for daily management such as cleaning and weeding of parks, we have formed a volunteer group centered on local residents and cooperated. . This is the "Park Protection Association".
In Aoba Ward, 196 out of 230 parks have been formed and active, and many parks are supported by the protection society.

We perform cleaning and weeding of the park, watering trees, and calling for manners to park users. Among them, there is a park protection society that takes advantage of the park's characteristics to create flower beds to entertainconservation, a forested area.

People living in the area around the park are members. Some places have formed park protection associations at Neighborhood Associations and senior citizens' associations and children's associations. If you are interested in activities, please contact Public Works Office Aoba.

When a park is created, Yokohama City will call on residents living in the vicinity to form a park protection society. We form park protection society by local everybody and have you report to Yokohama-shi. For more information, please contact Aoba Public Works Office.

In addition to the protection fee, the Park Protection Association provides support such as providing goods and providing know-how necessary for activities.
