Bicycle parking lots and parked bicycles

In Yokohama City, the area around 115 stations in the city is designated as a prohibited area for bicycles and motorcycles by ordinance.
There is a paid bicycle parking lot in the no-parking area, where bicycles and motorcycles of 125cc or less can be used. (In some bicycle parking lots, there are also bicycle parking lots bicycles only.)

If you leave a bicycle or motorcycle in a no-parking area, it will move to a storage location (see figure below).
In the abandoned prohibited area, there are the following signs, prohibited area maps, storage locations, and signs that explain how to return them.

※The Kishiya-Namamugi storage area closed on May 31, 2024.
