What should I do if I get injured or get sick during a disaster?
In case of emergency, check the local medical institutions on a regular basis.
■In the event of a large-scale disaster, it is assumed that many injured persons will be consulted at a medical institution at the same time.
■Go to a medical institution according to the degree of urgency and severity to save as many lives as possible.

We are recruiting Y-Nurse (Yokohama City Disaster Support Nurse)! Please lend your help in the event of a disaster.
■In the event of a disaster, Tsurumi Ward, together with doctors, pharmacists, and city officials, is recruiting nursing staff to perform medical rescue activities at evacuation centers in the city.
What is Y-Nurse?
It is a nursing profession working as a "medical rescue squad" based on disaster preparedness plan, Yokohama City, together with pre-registered doctors, pharmacists, and city officials in the event of a disaster such as the Great East Japan Earthquake. Activities will mainly provide emergency medical care for mildly ill people at evacuation centers in the city.
Y Nurse Registration Qualification
Qualified public health nurses, midwives, nurses, and associate nurses who live or work in Yokohama City, who can provide support activities at evacuation shelter (designated elementary and junior high schools) in each ward of Yokohama City in the event of a disaster. (However, in principle, those who are supposed to attend the workplace in the event of a disaster, such as working at a hospital, are excluded.)

Please fill out the registration form with required items and submit it to Health and Welfare Division Health and Welfare Center, ward where you wish to register, by mail or e-mail. After accepting the application form, you will receive a Y-Nurse registration certificate. (In the case of application by mail, we will send it by mail at a later date.)
