What is the Tsurumi Ward Independence Support Council?
In Tsurumi Ward, we have established the "Local Independence Support Council" with the aim of improving support for people with disabilities to live in the community.
There are three subcommittees, "consultation", "rights protection", and "mental health welfare", and they are active every day.
"Mental Health and Welfare Subcommittee" started in 2018.
Workplaces, group homes, medical institutions, and consultation support offices related to mental health and welfare in the community are gathered to create a face-to-face relationship between persons with disabilities and supporters in Tsurumi Ward.
