Sunday, November 24, 2024 "Environmental Picture Diary 2024" Excellence Special Prize Presentation / Awards Ceremony
"SDGs Future City Environmental Picture Diary Exhibition 2024" was held at the Yokohama City Hall Atrium, and Chairman Suzuki attended the special award presentation and award ceremony.
The environmental picture diary freely expresses what you think about environmental issues in a combination of pictures and sentences, and holds a contest every year for elementary school students in Yokohama City during the summer vacation. In recent years, there have been many proposals for solutions to social issues other than the environment.
At the venue, "Let's have fun! 307 excellent works drawn on the theme of SDGs were exhibited in one hall. At the award ceremony, which included 29 works that won the Special Award for Excellence, Chairman Suzuki awarded the Yokohama City Council Prize and congratulated him.
Friday, November 22, 2024 City planning road Sakuragi Higashitotsuka Line (Hirato district) street maintenance construction start ceremony
The construction ceremony for the “City Planning Road Sakuragi Higashitotsuka Line (Hirato District) Street Maintenance Work” was held, and Mr. Suzuki attended.
The city planning road Sakuragi Higashitotsuka Line is a 10.5km long arterial road from Sakuragicho, Naka-ku to Naze-cho, Totsuka-ku, and will be fully opened with the opening of the Hirato area. This is expected to have the effect of integrating the city area, alleviating traffic congestion, and improving the safety of pedestrians on living roads.

The 73rd Yokohama Cultural Award presentation ceremony was held at Minato Mirai Hall, and Chair Suzuki attended.
The Yokohama Cultural Award is awarded to those who have made outstanding achievements in the development of culture such as arts, science, education, social welfare, medical care, industry, sports promotion, etc. as the highest award of Yokohama City. In addition, the Yokohama Cultural Arts Encouragement Prize is awarded to young people who are currently active in the field of culture and arts, who are expected to play an active role in the future. This time, the Yokohama Cultural Award was presented to five people and the Yokohama Cultural Arts Encouragement Award was presented to two people.
Chairman Suzuki, who is also a member of the Yokohama Cultural Prize Selection Committee, congratulated on behalf of Yokohama City Council and expressed his deepest respect to the winners who made great contributions to the promotion of culture in Yokohama, and prayed for further success.
The 13th Municipal Subway & Municipal Bus Ride Manner Contest Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 16, 2024
For elementary school students, "The 13th Municipal Subway & Municipal Bus Ride Manner Poster Contest-Let's follow riding manners! Let's ride a vehicle that is friendly to people and the earth! The award ceremony of "~" was held at the Yokohama City Hall Atrium, and Vice Chair Fukushima attended.
This year, 22 of the 878 entries were selected, and Vice-Chair Fukushima awarded the City Counsil Prize on behalf of the Chair.

In 2024, the Yokohama Environmental Action Awards Ceremony was held in Yokohama City Hall, attended by Chairman Suzuki.
In Yokohama City, commendations are given to individuals and groups who have been working hard to promote the beautification of the 3Rs and towns through various environmental actions to express their gratitude. This year, 187 individuals and 16 groups were awarded.

The 44th Yokohama Social Welfare Convention was held in Kannnai Hall, attended by Chairman Suzuki.
The Yokohama City Social Welfare Convention honors the achievements of many organizations and individuals, including local welfare officers, children's committees and volunteers who have been involved in welfare and health activities in the community for many years, and is a member of the Japan National Council of Social Welfare. It is held for the purpose of further enhancing community welfare by paying tribute and thanking those who have contributed to community welfare activities for many years.

The 26th All Japan High School Brass Band Competition was held in Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, attended by Chairman Suzuki.
The Yokohama City Council Chairman's Award was awarded to schools that have achieved excellent results, with 51 high school brass band clubs nationwide participating in the Japan High School Brass Band Federation.
Saturday, November 9, 2024 The 60th Designated City Children's Association Development Research Council Yokohama Convention
The 60th Designated City Children's Association Development Research Council Yokohama Convention was held, and Vice-Chair Fukushima attended the opening ceremony.
This council is held as an opportunity to review the role played by children's associations in each region and reconsider the necessity of children's associations.

Friday, November 1, 2024 The 73rd Yokohama-shi war dead memorial ceremony
The 73rd Yokohama City War Veterans Memorial Ceremony was held at the square in front of the memorial tower for the war dead in Mitsuzawa Park, and Chairman Suzuki and Vice Chair Fukushima attended together. In Yokohama City, a memorial ceremony is held on November 1 every year to memorialize the spirits of the war dead and renew their commitment to peace.
