Opening ceremony on Friday, August 30, 2024 "Yokohama e-sports tournament match-SENZAN-"
Yokohama City Council, Chairman Suzuki and Vice-Chair Fukushima, attended the opening ceremony at the Yokohama City Hall Atrium, from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1.
This tournament is held for the purpose of having all citizens, regardless of age, nationality, or disability, become familiar with e-sports. Yokohama City Council supported e-sports that contribute to the realization of a symbiotic society in which no one is left behind, and prayed for the further development of e-sports in Yokohama as an opportunity.
※What is esports?
"esports" is an abbreviation of "electronic sports" and is the name used to describe computer games and video games as sports competitions.
Tuesday, August 27, 2024 Yokohama-shi kindergarten meeting, education research meeting in 2024
The 2024 Yokohama Kindergarten and Educational Research Conference was held in Kannnai Hall, with Mr. Suzuki attending.
Teachers and guardians of kindergartens and certified children's schools participated, and long-term service commendation and mayor commendation were held.
Mr. Suzuki congratulated on behalf of the Yokohama City Council and expressed his respect for his support for early childhood education for children andYokohama City Council's future of Yokohama, and introduced the Yokohama City Basic Ordinance on Child and Child Care, which was recently proposed by lawmakers.
Friday, August 23, 2024 The 30th Yokohama Businessmen Conference
The 30th Yokohama Business Council was held, and Chairman Suzuki attended.
This conference, which has been held by the Yokohama Youth Chamber since 1983, is a forum for public and private sectors to work together with Yokohama's economic organizations to make policy proposals to the city of Yokohama in order to solve economic and social issues.
Mr. Suzuki gave a speech on behalf of the Yokohama City Council and introduced the Yokohama Youth Chamber's efforts to further revitalize Yokohama, introducing the "Yokohama City Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Basic Ordinance" enacted in 2010 as proposed by lawmakers and initiatives for public-private partnerships among other local governments.
